My career as a public speaker began in grade six when co-narrating my school’s Christmas Pageant. During a few lulls between the class presentations, I threw in a bit of humour here and there. The audience laughed. At the end of the evening, our principal gave me my first review: “Margo is destined for something. Probably a detention.”
